Genuine DeWalt switch cover — part 144983-07 — a small injection-molded plastic dust flap that snaps over the on/off switch to protect the switch assembly from dust, sanding debris and wear.

This original DeWalt cover is sold individually and is the exact replacement used on several DeWalt sheet and random-orbit sanders; it’s the same cover shown in parts diagrams.
