Genuine Makita part 424173-9 — Damping plug. A small rubber/elastic damper used around the intake/airbox area to cushion vibration and help locate/seal nearby components on petrol chain saws and similar outdoor tools. Sold as a single damping plug; many Makita diagrams show two fitted to the engine / air-intake assembly on the affected models.
