- Small, hardened starter pawl spring designed for the recoil starter assembly; it holds and returns the starter pawls so they reliably engage the flywheel when you pull the starter rope and retract correctly when the rope is released.
Why this part matters:
- If the pawls fail to engage or the starter pawls won’t snap back, a worn or broken 6685335 spring is a common cause — replacing it restores proper starter engagement and smooth recoil action.
