Hitachi 956961 — Mouth Washer (genuine Hitachi)
This is the original Hitachi mouth washer used in several Hitachi demolition hammers and hammer drills. It’s a small, durable metal washer that sits at the tool’s bit / chisel interface to maintain a tight seal and proper seating of the hex shank — replace a worn or distorted washer to stop play and ensure the tool holds bits correctly. Sold individually and listed as part number 956961 (also shown as 956‑961).
Typical fitment: designed for Hitachi demolition hammer models (including H65, H65SA, H65SB, H65SC, H65SD, plus H70SA / H70SD and PH‑65A — used where the tool accepts a 1-1/8" hex shank (≈ 28.6 mm). Check your model’s parts diagram to confirm exact location, but this is the genuine Hitachi washer specified for those models.
